Volunteer Commitment for MomoCon 2023
May 24th – May 28th (Wednesday through Sunday)
At MomoCon 2023 volunteers can sign up for THREE types of volunteer positions:

** FULL-TIME Volunteer Benefits **
If you are selected as a Full-Time volunteer, you will receive the following benefits:
*All volunteer shift requirements must be met in order to be eligible for full stipend. If a volunteer is unable to commit to all shift requirements, this must be worked out before acceptance of schedule, including understanding how the stipend is impacted.
> FULL-TIME Volunteer Time Commitments
If you are a Full-Time volunteer, you are required to help out during these hours:
Wednesday (May 24th): From 10:00 am - 5:00 pm You will assit with installation of the event. From 6:00pm - 8:30 pm Participate in All Hands meeting and training.
Thursday, Friday & Saturday (May 25th - 27th): Thursday and Friday you will work the event for approximately 7 hours each day, which includes one 24-minute break period and one hour-long break period. Saturday you will have one shift (approximately 10 hours) with two 24-minute break periods and one 48-minute break period.
Sunday (May 28th): From 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. We will be dismantling the event and packing up the materials. At the end of the shift you will receive your check and swag mentioned above.
You must be available at all the times listed above to be eligible for full-time status. Please do NOT make travel arrangements outside of this schedule unless you have prearranged an alternative schedule with TD HQ. We cannot guarantee hotel accommodations if you do not have the details arranged with TD HQ BEFORE you accept your schedule.

** PART-TIME Volunteer Benefits **
If you are selected as a Part-Time volunteer, you will receive the following benefits:

If you are a Part-Time volunteer, you are required to attend the All Hands meeting and area training at 6:00 pm on Wednesday. You will also have an event shift on ONE day (either Thursday, Friday or Saturday) plus work from 9:30 am - 1:30 pm on Sunday. More specific information is detailed below.
Thursday, Friday, or Saturday (May 25th - 27th): Work one shift for ONE DAY. The shift varies on the day but can be seen detailed in the Full Time commitment above.
Sunday (May 28th): From 9:30 am - 1:30 pm. We dismantle the event and pack up the materials. At the end of the shift you will receive your check and swag mentioned above.

Your Local Install & Dismantle Crew volunteer status requires you to volunteer for these times and days.
Tuesday and Wednesday (May 23rd - 24th): Tuesday and Wednesday 10:00 am - 7:00 pm with an hour meal break (on your own)
Sunday (May 24th): From 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm. We dismantle the event and pack up the materials. At the end of the shift you will receive your check and swag mentioned above.

ANYONE interested in volunteering must fill out the volunteer application by February 23rd, 2023 to be considered in the first round of scheduling. All volunteers MUST fill out all the applicable fields. This information will be kept secure and used to select and schedule all volunteers. While we will accept application AFTER 2/23/2023, scheduling will begin before 2/23/2023. Apply before 2/23/2023 in order to have the best chance at getting the volunteer role you prefer.

Volunteer Commitment for Virtual TD
November 7th – 9th (Friday – Sunday)
Location Requirements
While this is a "virtual" event, some volunteers must physically come to Carbondale, IL. This is worked out on a case-by-case basis with each volunteer, but generally speaking all NPC actors need to be physically present at or near the TD Workshop during the event weekend. All Golems must be in Carbondale. We are able to train Virtual DMs remotely, so please consider that as an option if travel is not possible. Please indicate by checking the box on the next page if you are UNABLE to physically come to Carbondale.
Virtual DM Requirements
Due to the "virtual" nature of this event, ALL volunteers applying for DM positions must possess at least intermediate computer skills, have adequate internet, be familiar with the Windows operating system, and provide their own computer systems*, the specifications of which include:
The last page of this application asks for a URL that shares your system specs with us. Please visit http://specr.me and follow the instructions. You will be given a URL that shows us your specs!
*We have a limited number of "loaner" machines. Check the box on the next page if you are interested in DMing but do not have a machine that is up to spec. Note that other requirements like having at least intermediate computer skills and adequate internet still apply.
There are two levels of commitment for Virtual True Dungeon Volunteers, however preference is given to volunteers able to make a Full-Time commitment for ease of scheduling. Part-Time volunteers who have paired up with someone to split a Full-Time position will be given preference over a lone Part-Time volunteer request. If you have paired up with another volunteer to split a Full-Time position, please enter this information in the "Additional Information" field of the application step 3 of 3, before hitting "Submit".
Approximate event start times for VTD 33 are as follows. These are the times that run slots START each day. Each run lasts for approximately two hours, so your scheduled time may run significantly later. Your schedule will depend on the position for which you are selected. NPCs and golems must be available until after the last party has gone through their rooms. The schedule of a VDM is dependent upon their position in the Run of Show. VDMs that wish to be placed earlier/later on the Run of Show make sure to reply to the Run of Show Requests email that will be sent out prior to the event! All times listed are Central Time (Carbondale local time).
Due to the different type of event, the ONLY positions we need to fill are DMs, 2 Coaches, NPCs, and a few Admin positions (Innkeeper/Epilogue). Please keep this in mind when choosing your volunteer role of choice.
