True Dungeon comes to YOU!
TD meets the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic by presenting another completely virtual adventure for fans to enjoy from home. Following the success of the Nymph & Nimblewit and Thornbarb Pass adventures, Virtual TD is back with the next chapter in the five adventure story arc - The Deadwill Mine. This is a great way to experience TD both as a player and as a volunteer! Join us to bring the fun to gamers all over the world!
Volunteer Commitment for Virtual TD
January 15 - 17, 2021 (Thursday-Sunday)
Location Requirements
While this is a "virtual" event, some volunteers will need to physically come to Carbondale, IL. This will be worked out on a case by case basis with each volunteer, but generally speaking all NPC actors and first-time Virtual DMs will need to be physically present at or near the TD Workshop. Please indicate by checking the box on the next page if you are UNABLE to physically come to Carbondale.
Virtual DM Requirements
Due to the "virtual" nature of this event, ALL volunteers applying for DM positions must possess intermediate computer skills and provide their own computer systems*, the specifications of which include:

*We may have a limited number of "loaner" machines. Check the box on the next page if you are interested in DM-ing but do not have a machine that is up to spec. Note that other requirements like having intermediate computer skills still apply in this scenario.
There is one level of commitment for True Dungeon Volunteers:
Due to the different type of event, the ONLY positions we need to fill are DMs, a few Coaches, NPCs, and a few Admin positions (Innkeeper/Epilogue). Please keep this in mind when choosing your volunteer role of choice.

Please do NOT make travel arrangements outside of this schedule unless you have pre-arranged an alternative schedule with TD HQ. We cannot guarantee hotel accommodations if you do not have the details arranged with TD HQ BEFORE you accept your schedule.
ANYONE interested in volunteering must fill out the volunteer application by November 29th, 2020. All volunteers MUST fill out all the applicable fields. This information will be kept secure and used to select and schedule all volunteers. While we may be able to accept applications AFTER 11/29/2020, scheduling will begin before that date. Apply before that date in order to have the best chance at getting the volunteer role you prefer.

November 7th – 9th (Friday – Sunday)

There are two levels of commitment for Virtual True Dungeon Volunteers, however preference is given to volunteers able to make a Full-Time commitment for ease of scheduling. Part-Time volunteers who have paired up with someone to split a Full-Time position will be given preference over a lone Part-Time volunteer request. If you have paired up with another volunteer to split a Full-Time position, please enter this information in the "Additional Information" field of the application step 3 of 3, before hitting "Submit".
Approximate event start times for VTD 33 are as follows. These are the times that run slots START each day. Each run lasts for approximately two hours, so your scheduled time may run significantly later. Your schedule will depend on the position for which you are selected. NPCs and golems must be available until after the last party has gone through their rooms. The schedule of a VDM is dependent upon their position in the Run of Show. VDMs that wish to be placed earlier/later on the Run of Show make sure to reply to the Run of Show Requests email that will be sent out prior to the event! All times listed are Central Time (Carbondale local time).
